Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

· Demonstrate excellent people skills, including interpersonal communications, with both internal and external customers.

· Demonstrate sustainable leadership qualities, including coach and mentor management.

· Create and build relationships, and advice management regarding personnel issues.

· Understand and manage workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent development and retention - including recognition and incentive program management and other events.

· Assist with developing and implementation of organizational change.

· Manage Worker's Compensation process including all stages of claim management, discussions with carrier, ergonomic safety, and process of employee accommodations.

· Manage leave of absence requests including handling employee inquiries, EDD related verifications, and designation of appropriate documentation based on requests.

· Manage performance reviews, including reviewing employee and manager comments and merit increase processing.

· Manage and assist with benefit administration, including invoice reconciliation, qualifying events, and open enrollment.

· Manage the employee life cycle from recruitment to termination

· Complete site visits - including weekly visits, or other visits as needed for investigations, exit interviews or other events.

· Conduct investigation interviews with employees.

· Record and maintain required documentation.

· Track and keep record of required medical certifications and continuing education classes for credentialing and compliance purposes, as required.

· Manage HRIS process, workflows, data, and reporting.

· Develop and maintain effective communication with required vendors.

· Reviews and supports the corrective action process, including guiding management to avoid liabilities.

· Maintain in-depth understanding of the local employment and labor laws, rules and regulations.

· Respond to requests for information through all modes of communication in a timely manner - HRIS ticketing system, email, messaging, etc.

· Participate, coordinate and manage company events as necessary.

· Able to mitigate risks by delegating high-level inquiries and issues to Business Associate II and III for further support.

· Respond to requests for information, researches, resolves complex problems, and prepares correspondence of a sensitive and/or confidential nature.

· Work flexible hours, which includes some evenings and weekends

Secondary Responsibilities:

· Assist with duties - Annual Affirmative Action Plan, Safety Plan, EEO-1 and Vets-100, and governmental claims and other reports as necessary.

· Ability to conduct thorough, effective, and objective administrative investigations covering the vast number of government agency complaints, employee corrective and disciplinary actions, employee complaints and claims.

· Present information in front of a group of employees, including management via online or in-person as needed.

· Assists with training and development, including conducting, developing, researching, tracking and implementing trainings throughout the organization.

· Assists with employee relation functions such as conducting staff surveys, coordinate employee relations activities and programs that promote positive workplace relations.

· Attends workshops, training, and meetings as needed, and as requested.

· Assist management with HR or other related projects, as assigned.

· Performs other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in human resources management or other related field and/or equivalent work experience

· Experience in health care setting and/or non-profit setting preferred

· PHR or SHRM certification preferred

· Proficient in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook), Vision, HRIS, and similar programs required for the role

· Proficient at initiating and executing tasks with minimal guidance - includes working and responding to inquiries independently, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines

Work Conditions:

* Travel to other sites and/or locations is required - Events may require a day or overnight trip to attend

* Work indoor and outside in varying temperatures and work conditions

* Prolonged periods of walking, standing or sitting

Physical Demands:

This position requires:

· Sitting, walking, and standing associated with a normal medical, clinical and administrative office environment, with some bending, reaching, stretching, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

· Manual dexterity for tasks involving standard office equipment and computer keyboard, including repetitive movements, such as typing.

· Traveling to work sites, including some exposure to outside elements.

· Exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations, requiring adherence to extensive safety precautions and possibly the use of protective equipment.
